Happy New Month!!! 🎉✨
Is it too late to say that? Nope! I’ll say it whenever I like and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it (😂).
How are you doing? How’s life treating you?
We made it through the first half of the year. It’s been quite the ride , challenging for me personally and, honestly, for the global video games industry too. But I’m holding on to hope (you know me… ever the optimist 🌱).
Yes, the industry news has been heavy lately, those waves of layoffs have even earned their own Wikipedia page. But hey, no fretting allowed. The global economy is shifting, and society is restructuring. These are the “tough times” we hear about in movies and books… and you will come out stronger on the other side.
On a brighter note, it feels like more initiatives are springing up locally to support our sector. I’ll be sharing some of these updates with you today.
But first , in case you missed it, Africacomicade celebrated 5 incredible years of operation on on July 6, 2025 ! 🥳💥
What a journey it has been! Later this week, I’ll do a special recap to share all the highs (and lessons) with you.

For now, I have to say, it feels like this year is flying by! ✈️
Wishing you all the strength, clarity, and resources you need to push through and smash your goals. 💪🏾🌟
For us , this July, we’re hitting the road again, and if all goes well, it’s going to be quite the journey: Ghana, South Africa, Germany, and then back to Nigeria. 🌍✈️
Wish us luck and if you’d like to support us along the way, don’t be a stranger, reach out at people@africacomicade.org.

Let’s kick things off with some recaps! 🎮✨
Lagos Games Week wrapped up last week, and one of the highlights for us was seeing participants from the Echoes Game Jam showing up and representing here in Nigeria.
A special shoutout to Goethe-Institut Nigeria and Games Connect Africa for making this possible! 🙌🏾

It’s finally out!!! Witness Guardianprime , Comic Republic’s flagship Hero , rise to face off against powerful gods threatening Lagos and everything he holds dear. It’s a battle of strength, faith, and purpose, and it’ll leave you both inspired and at the edge of your seat.
